Series: Your Story Universe
Role: Game Artist
Character Studies
There was a point while I was at Endless that the entire concept team was tasked with concepting fast turnaround character studies for possible in-house content. When I was able to participate outside from technical integration work, I took pre-written character briefs and provided new interpretations of those characters. The characters above were going to be part of a dating simulator with an original storyline and the player could choose their sexual preference before playing. This concept was greenlit for continued exploration.
Project: Love Island
As one of my last big projects, I was part of the art direction for the pilot of Series: Your Story Universe’s Love Island. There were going to be a minimum of six potential love interests for the player, and I was tasked with designing them via briefs (right). I also worked with our outsource artists to get started on the most pivotal location for the game: the Couples Cabana (above). When the budget was cut and outsourcing became a less viable option, our team put our heads together and started making our own in-house designs. I used a couple of my own briefs as reference when experimenting with new potential art styles (below).
Project: Law & Order
The majority of the final game art was outsourced. I designed characters, outfits, and environments utilizing through sheets, which were sent to the artists to produce. This process often went through several rounds of feedback and draw overs on Basecamp.
(Below) These are the final outsourced products of the designs I drafted for an episode of Law & Order. The last one is a hallway I Frankenstein-ed together using old outsourced assets.
